Canadian Women in Medicine (CWIM) is a national, not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting women+ physicians in all aspects of their lives: personal, professional, and financial.

We are filling the following positions effective January 21, 2026:

 

• Communications Committee (2)

Committee role:

The Communication Committee is responsible for ensuring effective promotion and information about CWIM through different channels. For example, it oversees the social media presence and strategy, plays an important role in email campaigns and website updates, and keeps an updated list of dates to commemorate. Creation of a blog or podcast could be an idea to develop as well.

 

This includes:

• Social media

• Email campaigns

• Website updates

• Language updates

• Commemorative Dates

• CWIM Promotion

• Social media strategy

Commitment: Minimum of 2 general Leadership Council meetings per year, along with individual committee meetings and committee work as needed. Most meetings will be held via Zoom videoconferencing.

 

Term: 1-year term.

 

Honoraria: To be paid to active members of a committee who attend a minimum of 4 meetings (Council and/or Committee meetings combined)

 

Support: LC members will have access to administrative support (shared part-time administrator), as well as funding and promotional support for activities undertaken by the committees.  Zoom access will also be made available to facilitate committee meetings.​
