Title of Presentation: Shame in Medicine
During our time together, we'll explore the definitions and difference between shame and guilt, discuss the impact of shame on the development of our identities as medical professionals, review strategies for shame resilience including peer support and mindful self-compassion and finally identify opportunities to introduce shame sensitive practices to both clinical and educational environments.
