We’re so excited to welcome CWIM Partners on November 9th in Toronto for our first-ever PRN (Peer Resource Network) Social. We’ve put together a can’t-miss evening focused on mentorship and we hope to see you there! Thinking about attending? Below we’ve shared 10 reasons why you should join us.
Kick-start your mentorship journey. Have you wanted to get connected with a mentor but aren't sure where to start? We’re thrilled to have Dr. Mamta Gautum, President and CEO of PEAK MD Inc., as our guest speaker. She’ll be sharing all about when and where to find a mentor and how to create and sustain a positive and effective mentorship relationship.
Learn about becoming a mentor. Have you thought about sharing your expertise and experience? Dr. Gautum will share how mentorship can be valuable to both participants in the relationship and what effective and ineffective mentoring relationships look like.
Catch up with friends. You’ll likely see some familiar faces at the PRN Social if you’ve been a CWIM Partner for some time. It’s a great chance to chat with friends you may not often see.
Make some new connections. Not often do we get to come together in person. Whether you’re new to CWIM or just want to expand your network, our goal is for you to leave with lots of new connections. We’re so excited to have Dr. Chandi Chandrasena, Chief Medical Officer of OntarioMD and Family Physician, as our event host who always makes everyone feel at home.
Enjoy a drink and some charcuterie. Each ticket to the PRN Social includes two drink tickets and light food options will also be served.
Pop by for dessert. Planning on coming by after dinner? No problem! We’ll also be serving up some coffee, tea, and desserts.
Meet the CWIM Board and Leadership Council. Interested in getting involved with CWIM Organization in the future? Many of our Board and Leadership Council members will be at the PRN Social and would love to chat more and share their experience.
Take in the view. We’ll be mingling in front of incredible, panoramic views of Lake Ontario and Toronto Island from the 27th floor of Vantage Venues, located right downtown on King Street West.
Travel with ease. The event venue is conveniently located with direct underground access to the PATH and St. Andrew’s subway station, making getting to and from a breeze. There are also many secure parking lots nearby.
Be a part of something exciting. Our goal is to create a nationwide mentorship network of women physicians, and the PRN Social is just the beginning. Come be a part of building a peer resource community.
The PRN Social will be taking place from 7:00pm to 9:00pm ET. The cost to attend is $20.00 + tax and tickets but be purchased in advance.
